Today I worked through the first hour of ‘My First Game Jam’, a recorded livestream tutorial about how to use one of the go-karting beginner projects in Unity. I’ve done a couple of the other beginner projects, which weren’t very informative (they serve more as a getting-to-know-the-interface, rather than showing you where and how to change the functionality of objects).
The stream covered a couple of different topics – some stuff was intro-to-interface, but with extra pro tips (different ways to move around the 3D space); some of it was about how to use prefabricated assets, like different road tiles, to change the path; and some of it was about how to edit colors and materials. I don’t know what else we’ll be covering yet, but the stream is over three and a half hours long.
